Monthly Business Meeting

Present: Richard, Chairperson, Roy, Parliamentarian, Jan, Friday Night Autry House, Jody, Ann, Region 3 Delegate

The meeting was opened by Richard who also shared on the tenth tradition

Ann moved, and Jan seconded that minutes from the previous meeting as submitted by Nancy be accepted. Minutes were accepted.

Helen was not able to attend but submitted the Treasurer’s Report

Region 3 has a new treasurer, Lynn King. Region 3 donations should be sent to Lynn at 8020 Harbor Oaks Circle, Los Vegas, NV 89128.

The Spring Retreat will be held at Camp Allen on May 17-19, 2002. Jan is inviting those interested to serve on the committee. She will be calling a meeting of the committee.

The Convention/Region 3 Assembly was a big success. Final numbers are not available today.

Jan has a volunteer who is willing to answer calls one evening a week. Jan will call Helen.

Alan continues to do a great job with the HML Web Site. He now updates the meeting list on Line.

Jody is willing to take back the responsibility for the printed phone list but needs a volunteer with computer skills to help her with updating. Jody will get disc from Helen.

The pre-holiday workshop will take place on IDEA Day, November 17 from 2 PM to 4 PM at the Oasis Club.

The next Region 3 Assemble will be held in Los Vegas March 8, 9, and 10, 2002. The spring assembly will be held in Albuquerque September 27 to 29, 2002.

Richard attended the Public Information Committee Meeting at the Region 3 Assembly. Jody volunteered to contact local radio stations about public service announcements. Houston Community College is asking we send a representative to a health fair on 10/20.

Sheri plans to have the newsletter out by the end of the week.

After passing the basket for the seventh tradition, Roy moved and Jody seconded that the meeting be adjourned at 11:05.

The next meeting will be held on November 10, 20001 at 10:00 at the Oasis Club
