Rep Report- Tulsa, OK March 4-6, 2005

Once
again, I was privileged to see the
Tradition One of
OA Unity in action. OA Region 3 Assembly (Business OA Meeting for our
Region:
AZ, CO, UT, NV, NM, OK, TX) met in Tulsa, OK March 4-6,2005. Houston Metro Intergroup pays for me, as
well as up to two other reps, to go to Region 3 Assembly twice a year.
I am Vice Pres of Region 3 ByLaws Committee. Our job is to review Region 3 Bylaws and Policy Manual to be sure the at we are meeting WSO requirements, as well as Region 3’s needs. Between the twice- yearly Region 3 Assembly, our committee is available to any Region 3 Intergroup needing help with their Bylaws and Policy Manuals. The bylaws have to meet certain World Service (Our “Corporate” Headquarters) rules. However, the Policy Manual has specific procedures for a particular Region.
There are other Committees that Reps can serve on:
1) Ways & Means ( Fundraising)
2) 12th Step Within (Outreach to Intergroups within Region)
3) HIPM ( Public Information)
4) Computer(Establish system of connecting website of Intergroups by link
to Region 3 Website www.oaregion3.org
