The meeting was opened at 10:00 a.m. with the Serenity Prayer. Helen read the mission statement. Introductions were made by the attendees:

12 Traditions of OA – Susan spoke on Tradition 11. Nancy volunteered to speak on Tradition 1 at next month’s meeting.

Minutes of Last Meeting – The minutes from the November meeting were approved as amended.

Treasurer’s Report – The November report was reviewed.

Old Business –

WSBC 2001 Conference – Discussion of past costs for sending delegate(s) to WSBC Conferences in 1999 and 2000. Decisions will be made in the January HMI meeting regarding what expenses HMI will covered for delegates in future conferences. Delegates and alternates are to be selected by 12/28/00, and registration is to be completed by 1/9/01.

HCC Health Fair – There was agreement that HMI’s participation was successful. HMI had five representatives at the fair running the OA booth.

Delegates Report – No delegates’ reports but mention that January is election month for service assemblies.

Committee Reports –

Special Events/Workshops/Spring Retreats and Conventions – Jan has faxed St. Luke’s to get further information. Richard contacted Autry House which rents the space needed for $100., but Autry House has not contacted Richard regarding the availability of space on January 20^th or 27^th. January 27^th is the tentative date. If St. Luke’s is not available, the Newcomer’s Marathon will be held at the Oasis Club.

It was suggested that those HMI members get on the phones and call "old timers" encouraging them to come to the Newcomer’s Marathon to lend there support.

By-Laws Committee – No report.

Budget Committee – No report.

Literature – No report.

HIPM - Susan will work on gathering a list of the local press and putting together a flyer.

Spring Retreat – Jan has contacted Camp Allen regarding the availability of space. There is none from January through August 2001. There is space for September 7^th – 9^th and September 21-23. It is $71.50 per person/double occupancy, including 3 meals per day. It was suggested that HMI discuss,at the January meeting, booking Camp Allen for the Spring 2002 Retreat well in advance of the needed date.

The possibility of not having a Spring Retreat in 2001 was mentioned as well as the importance then of having more frequent workshops. Helen will check with Joe regarding the feasibility of having the Spring Retreat 2001 as there is at this time no place to have it and no person to chair it.

New Business –

World Service Intergroup Meeting List – WSO sent Helen an Intergroup Meeting List which will be going "online" in 2001. HMI is to review/verify/submit changes and correction to WSO. Discussion was made regarding the loss of anonymity with this directory being published on the internet.

Open Forum – The Oasis Club is buying literature and putting it a cabinet so that the secretary of each meeting at the Oasis Club can make literature available to those wishing to buy it.

7^th Tradition – Held as usual.

Announcements – The next meeting of HMI will be Saturday, January 13, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at the Oasis Club.

Closing – The meeting was adjourned at 12:00 with the 3^rd Step Prayer.
