The meeting was opened at 10:00 a.m. with the Serenity Prayer. Helen read the mission statement. Introductions were made by the attendees:

12 Traditions of OA – Lora spoke on Tradition 3.

Minutes of Last Meeting – The minutes from the February meeting were approved as amended.

Treasurer’s Report – Lora gave her report and passed out copies of the February .Cash Flow Report. There was a discussion of the GBAI/s portion of the profits from "Into the Sunlight", the 2001 Region III Convention. The convention committee will meet on March 24, 2001, and their decision regarding profit apportioning will need to get approval by the respective groups. Further discussion was tabled.

Old Business –

Roy was re-elected as parliamentarian

Helen announced the WSBC Questionnaire was answered by HMI members who met at Luby’s. It was mailed out the next day.

Delegates Report – Margot and Rebecca will meet with the vice-chairperson of the convention committee on March 24, 2001. Information gathered during the meeting can be e-mailed to HMI. It was reported that Tucson cleared $7,000; Region 3 is sending $2,000. to World Service Organization.

Margot gave a report of the salient points from the Austin Region 3 Convention. There is special funding for smaller groups to send representatives to Region 3 assemblies. There are three openings on the Region 3 steering committee (vice-chairperson, Horizon editory [communications secretary], and treasurer}.

Committee Reports –

Special Events/Workshops/Spring Retreats and Conventions –

Unity Day – Dee reported that Unity Day was successful.

Spring Retreat – As yet, there is no information on the spring retreat. It was decided that it is too late to plan for a spring retreat. The suggestion was made to hold an April speakers’ workshop at the Oasis Club in place of a spring retreat. The speaker’s workshop will be held either on April 28 or May 5^th.

Next year’s spring retreat will be May 17, 2002. Jan will look into location possibilities.

Fall Convention – There will be a report at the April meeting.

Public Information – No report.

Office Services – There was clarification of who was handling the phone calls on each day of the week.

HMI Website – No Report

Newsletter/Meeting Lists - Contributions to the newsletters can be e-mailed to Sherri or to Alan, at the website, who will forward them to Sherri.

If there are anymore updates to the meeting list, they should be turned in by Monday.

By-Laws Committee – Helen reported that she received a letter from WSO regarding changes needing to be made to HMI’s bylaws. Helen and Alan will get together to reviews these changes, and then Helen will bring these changes to a future HMI meeting to discuss.

Budget Committee – No report.

Literature – No report.

HIPM - No report.

New Business – None

Open Forum – WSO will be voting on a Dignity of Choice pamphlet. The Oasis Club President needs a key to the Oasis Club cabinets.

7^th Tradition – Held as usual.

Announcements – The next meeting of HMI will be Saturday, April 7, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at the Oasis Club.

Closing – The meeting was adjourned at 12:00 with the 3^rd Step Prayer.
